Yeah, shooting as I was (with my SD550, on-board flash, slow-sync) I didn't have much expectation concerning skin tone. If you know of a decent tutorial which goes over this technique you used, please send the link my way.
I'll be posting a face shot approximately tomorrow. That one worked out a lot better (at least in part because I was using a d70).

I think Photoshop would go a long way toward balancing the lighting, since her legs need a little more 'sumpin' here.
Here's a version with some soft light brush strokes applied to her legs, James.

Callandra - Thanks. It's not the focus. I used a slow-sync flash and so there is some model/camera movement (before/after flash) which is also recorded. Some of them were much more apparent, but this one was pretty close to strait.
