About This is the GBH from Radio Road that took off quickly when I got too close to him. I didn't know what to do with the shot, since I was shooting vertically and he took off so fast I didn't get to turn the camera, and I cut off his legs (I was pretty close!) so I chose this close crop. 1/800 at f 5.6

Hello Christine,

A great action shot. I can image the challenge of how to turn this shot into... I think your choice was good. The close crop fits well. Very well done, my friend !

Wish you and yours all the best,
Albert Jacobs

Thanks, Marcus-- I'm going to check out that area next time I'm there. I want to go back and get some shots of the hoodies... my next challenge!

I think what you did works well, the open beak with the flat wing spread is very appealing, dont you just love how they yell at you as there flying away :) If you have not yet made your way to the back water way to the left of the lake ther is always a couple of great with egrets and this guy typically sits back there when not out eating, there is also a kingfisher and many migrants that you can shoot closeup, you only have to go to the parking lot at the end of the road to the left and follow the path past the open field all the way to the end of the waterway, keep up the great work..
