Huge congratulations Larry... Wouldn't touch a thing either...
The whole mood would change and that would be a shame... The glowing vibrancy of the colours needs that black... adds to the aloneness of the paddler, besides, there would be nothing to tie the red/black reflections to ;)...

WOW. I knew from the thumbnail that this was a stunning shot and it is. Congratulations on the BIP, it really sums up the project perfectly. I have to disagree with the suggestions about cropping this shot. Not only is the black a great addition to the yellow/gold tones, it also creates a nice negative space with which we can imagine the shoreline or whatever lies beyond. The lower colors of blue/gold are so soothing and beautiful it would be a shame to crop them as it lends to the overall "peace and tranquility". The shot works fine just as it is. Well done, well seen, well shot, well deserved award.
