I love the pose and the exposure. I think it would help your gradient to both make the outer portions darker, but also to create a larger feathered transition, so the circle's not so distinct.

Still, this is quite the impish portrait, Phil.

Thank you so much Wounter. I actually had done it in sepia and will attach it for you to see.

If you didn't give the title yourself, i would have suggested it, even without wings (i can imagine they are just invisble because of the tree). I think you should also try to convert to B/W, or sepiatone.

Doyle, soft is what I was after, so thank you. The canopy we were under was not thick enough to filter all the sun, so this little one gad to constantly reposition herself and she was such a trooper. Thank you for you comments!

A soft image (well suited to the portrait here -- IMO) which looks like it might just convey the feeling you meant for it to convey (judging by the title). I see a bit of overexposure . . . mostly distracting on top of the lovely young lady's hair . . . but I also know that the mottled lighting in this area seems to be something of a challenge. Your DOF and color are perfect and aside from the exposure issue I mentioned, I think you've got a pretty good shot here . . . all she needs, apparently, are some wings! :)

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~
