I think You did a great job with this George! You really kept the detail of the petals intact and not blown out! Looks soft and delicate!

Stupendous shot, George! Brilliant choice of B&W. I'm sure that the flower had loads of delicate colored textures, yet there is nothing like B&W to communicate the delicacy of the petals themselves. Dark backdrop is essential and the leaves in the background beyond DOF add some passive interest and context for the shot. Great stuff.

Well done George, nice soft directional lighting to show the shapes and form of the petals.

Thanks, Allan, I'll do what I can. I lived in New Orleans many years ago. A few friends and family still call it home. More family was on the coast near Gulfport. Almost everyone came through OK, but one in Metairie was wiped out. Very sad, indeed. Our best wishes to all of you.

Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez! You deserve it . . .

Few take up the challenge of photographing flowers in B&W. It certainly isn't easy. But this comes off beautifully.

Very nice camellia george, you'll have to post a good bit of spring for me this year, as my new orleans is in a bit of a shortage of flora.
thanks

Had to visit the doctor today, my annual cold, they had some shots of flower's on the wall, would have truly preferred this. It's gentle and beautiful.

C'est tellement beau George; et le noir et blanc (pour une fleur c'est toujours plus riche et attrayant je crois) et la présentation et le cadrage et le genre spirale dû à l'angle et qui nous amène à un milieu qui est une image en soi.
