About	It rained almost all day. All the way from my home to the coast and back again, about an hour each way. I just had a hunch the skies might clear off around sunset though - looking carefully at weather information (satellite, radar, hourly forcasts) seemed to confirm this. I gambled and made the drive followed by a short hike to one of my favorite spots, Seal Rocks. Amazingly, the skies opened up for a spectacular display of light, the like of which I haven't seen in months. I used a small, reflecting tidepool and textures left in the sand to compliment the hundered-foot towering monoliths powerfully silhoetted as the sun burst through the clouds on the horizon. The show lasted but five minutes and disappeared as shockingly as it came. Like a window opened to this vibrant world just long enough for me to capture it forever and quickly shut again. Hope you like it. Minimal PS work limited to levels, dodge/burn and sharpening.

Hi Marc,

Another breathtaking image. You know... your photos have become like therapy for me after a stressful day. They are so serene and such tranquil scenes. I hope you get those gallery shows in Bend and Seattle because I'm leaving soon to go over the Mountains to Bend (when the snow melts anyway) then on to Washington and will probably be around Seattle in the summer so I hope to catch one of your shows somewhere. Absolutely stuning!

I'd say the drive in the bad weather was well worth this shot.

Everything from the colors, composition, sky, clouds, etc. is perfect.
