Jola, I like the use of high-key here. The mind tends to fill in details that aren't immediately apparent anyway. What I really enjoy about this is that to me it seems less of a formal portrait and more of an image of someone who is generally interested in what they are looking at. The position of the head and look in the eyes imparts a strong sense of action to me. My first thoughts of this shot were mosty questioning why not vertical framing but then I realized the horizontal framing was also lending to the feeling of action.

If you wanted cold I suggest using non warm colors because it does not come across as cold, it's just making me wonder what she is looking at.

Yes, I have, Altaf. But I prefer this surely! :-) Her glance is absent... She is cold... As the entire image...

I tend to like the high key nature of the photograph. It's just a style to draw a connection to the subjects eyes rather than the other features. I can see that the hair, makeup, etc was well done and this image works as it stands. Do you have an image where her eyes are looking at you, because I think that would help illustrate the effectiveness of high key lighting such as this.

Kristupa! This image is 'high key image' - the cntrast and paleness of the face is entirely intended.
Besides I wanted this image to be a 'monochrome'-image. Thats why - as you could notice - everything has 'magenta tone' - background, make up, the spot light in her hair, etc.
Thank you for your comment, anyway.

Jola, if you don't mind these are my comments and suggestions.. this pic has too high contrast. It makes you lost details of the face... look at the model, seems like she doesn't have a nose. And, I think this pic has too much magenta tone... you should add more cyan and yellow... and reduce magenta by adding green tone a little bit.
