About At Solitaire - the farmer caught this female leopard and put her in an enclosure. He is one of the few who are trying to protect the Leopards and re-introduce them elsewhere in the wild. I approached her (on the other side of a sturdy fence) and as I aimed the camera at her she let out this roar and started towards me in a full-on charge. I was breakfast - see the look in her eyes...

Can't understand why this should be your worst action shot!
It's a GREAT capture! My only concern is that she must have been pretty hungry when looking in her eyes. BUT you survived AND with an excellent photo ;-)

Actually Lori this is the best I could do with the worst action shots I have ever taken... The camera was not on continuous shooting mode, not on continuous focus, the lens was set at 80mm instead of 200 and I was caught totally off gaurd by her aggression. I got this shot and the next one was too close for focus and comfort (-1.8m). All too late and leaving me feeling like a dud...

Lori Stitt said it all. Can't add any more.

I took the picture for a slide scan first. Real impressive.

Cheers!

Great capture of this leopard...good stop motion shot. You must have looked pretty good to her.

Very good job, don't know how you got this so sharp! Just the right timing for sure.

Lori :)
