Q. Trouble loading an image

I loaded a photo a week or so ago, but today, I get this message. Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0113'
Script timed out
/add_photo.asp
The maximum amount of time for a script to execute was exceeded. You can change this limit by specifying a new value for the property Server.ScriptTimeout or by changing the value in the IIS administration tools.
Also, when I click to download a photo here, my dialup connection speed slows to a virtual crawl. (yes, I'm still on dialup) No problems on other websites, and as I mentioned before, I successfully downloaded a photo recently. The image size was 800 by 800 and I received no warnings on image size, just the page displayed above.

Randy, I increased the script timeout so you should not have any more issues. Your dial up may have been a little slow when you tried uploading so the timeout occurred. I also not that you are using hotmail please us another email account and change your imageopolis preferences to that new email account so that you can receive comment and web site emails.
Thanks and spread the word to your friends that imageopolis is up and running.

My dialup speed was erratic yesterday as there were some power outages in my state from a snow and ice storm. Maybe that contributed more than I thought. Thank you for changing my script timeout. Also, thanks also for bringing this website back to life. My email is actually Microsoft's Outlook email, but my address still appears as @hotmail. Is this OK? I will check my preferences settings. Thanks for the fast reply Phil, Randy

Randy, hotmail, outlook mail, msn.com, live.com are all pretty much the same. They are the same blacklist and once you are on it, it is basically impossible to get off. I have had to move the mail server so that I could get the mail flowing again.
It is irresponsible for a company that large with that much control to not have a way to get a server removed from their blacklist. I would recommend to everyone to ditch them and go to another one of the free mail services.
Glad you are back, please spread the word and get some more activity on the site.
Phil

Wow, I have no idea why this place could be on anyone's blacklist. I have a yahoo account, I'll change it to that. Download tonight went just fine............ thanks for tweaking whatever you did.

Well it wasn't us that caused it. One of the other users on the mail server had a virus and sent out about 100,000 spam emails to hotmail fishing for valid email addresses. So they banned the server. Seems rather draconian not to remove the ban once the problem was discovered and corrected. Ah well that is what happens when you are so big you don't have to care.
