Thank you for your very kind comment!!! The Sanyo Xacti J4 is a very small compact Camera and I have held a large Polarizer (77mm) in front of the camera (looked very funny) and so I removed the reflection of Sky and clouds. But the most important thing is the right time and the right composition. Shot 10 Degrees into another direction, the shot probably would have been boring. The Water on this coast was very clear, you can see 3 or 4 meters down to the ground and in the dock od a small harbour, where normally the water is dirty, it was clear and we have seen sea urchins!

This is such an amazing image. The colours are so fresh. The thing I like most about this photograph is that it looks more like a balloon than a boat, if the ropes weren't there it would simply float away. I don't know how you how managed to capture this magical quality, I think it has something to do with the shadow. Brilliantly done. CC

What a fabulous photo!
Congrats on the POD award, Gerhard; it's well-deserved.
As for the ever-outdated category data we fill in for our photos, I now opt to share relevant info in the Film Type by stating "Digital ISO 800" so the other photogs can at least understand what 'film speed' I shot at. ;)
