I just got notification of a parcel at the post office for me, so they must have come through with my prize!!
The Grand Prize was a set of very expensive tires. But I didn't get that one. I just got the Action Catagory prize. Still, I'm not complaining. :) I found out yesterday that the person who judged this image was actually the driver of the car, who is also the Yokohama representative. I'm guessing they liked the idea of the Yokohama decal on the trunk in the picture. The text on the bottom was added by Yokohama's editor.

BTW
Did you get a chance to go to the Steichen Exhibit at the AGO or the Vanity Fair Exhibit at the ROM? I went to both at the start of January. They were both only on display till the third of this month. I left it to the last minute, but I was glad I went. Both shows were amazing. There were many portraits on display that are iconic. Some very famous images that we have seen a hundred times in books. Wonderful stuff. Very inspiring. I really liked the Annie Liebovitz images at the ROM.

Yeah, It's always nice to get a little recognition like that. I think I get a Yokohama Rally jacket for a prize along with a few of the posters. Not a great deal, but much better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. :)
I had quite a few good images to choose from that day. Quite a few from the same corner. (I wonder if that big Yokohama decal above the licence plate had anything to do with them choosing this one. ;)
Happy New Year Dave! I don't think I've been on the sight since around Christmas. So, I have some catching up to do.
