Thanks Mark! I really didn't like how the sky was so badly overexposed . . in some of the other shots I completely dodged the details and went totally high key "outside." I really liked how they turned out. I eventually did it to this one too, cause we loved the pose so well.

Amanda, thanks for the comment. Yes, the background was completely blown out. It was very bright, and we were in the shade. If I had been thinking, I would have tried to shoot one and expose for the background and merge them. Would have been a lot of extra work, but it would have made these so much better. In a couple, I completely dodged out the background, it looked better, and more intentional.

Thanks Kay! The mom is a childhood friend! We had lost touch until the recent deaths of my uncle and her dad. We had a chance to reconnect, and when she found out I was a photographer, she asked me to shoot her boys. I had never met her boys before, but we had a blast!
