Arwa, I meant to say that it gets very dark in the viewfinder when the preview button is pressed and you have set a f32 aperture. It's very hard then to actually see what is in focus and what is not. From that, I think the thing to do is to practice and assimilate the behaviour of the lens.

Hi christine! it took some time getting used to the DOF im starting to get the hang of it :) but I never noticed that the viewfinder is dark! thanx for the comment ;)

Sabah el kheir Arwa. Oh, as you've asked, I can tell I love my D70. I see you use it too and with the 60 mm macro lens. Incredible combination, right ? I fight though with the DOF. Being a 90 mm 35mm equivalent, we can make incredibly close shots, but with a DOF reduced to a few lines, even at f32. It is also very hard to preview the results as it becomes very dark in the viewfinder. I wonder if you have come to your own rules in this.
