Some friends and I have been been getting together on Fridays to shoot different concept ideas and to experiment with lighting. We've been meeting in a friend's apt in Brooklyn and working in different lighting situations. I'm still learning, but feel like I'm really gaining from the experience. Having a blast as well. Lemme know what you think.
Hi Kim, thanks a lot for your feedback. I was trying to make Cathy look fantastical or almost doll-like. But I can see your point about the hot spots being distracting.
My Friday photo compadres and I all still learning, so it's great to get input.
Lighting on her body looks good.. nice tones and even light... but her face looks like plastic to me. Now, this could be what you were going for, in which case, you succeeded, but I find the hot spots where the glitter is very distracting. I think that a make-up artist could tell you what you could use as a base to keep the glitter but not get the glare. And perhaps a little fill on the right side of her face to even it out. keep shooting, and keep posting! Looking forward to more!
