No kidding Frederico. I know the pain of getting a photo, and having my expectations and ego crushed to pieces because of bad focus. The good thing is: Pain is the best teacher.

Yeah, unfortunately the focus was not accurate. I guess it happened cause I had moved the camera and the lens was at 300mm. The worst thing was that I didn't have the chance for a second shot... the owls had flown away.

Good picture opportunity. The photo however looks soft, it may be due to camera movement. Lack of focus is the single most decisive element in a picture, that will bring it to a crashing dive.

Nice spotting, I am amazed that people get shots of one owl, but so many, wow.
To me the photo, looks as if it was taken through a spotting scope not the lense you have mentioned. The image looks out of focus, and the contrast looks very flat.
