I did go and have a wee look at the hallowed ground, but i thought the place looked a bit dirty - could do with a lick of paint,or at least a bit of spit and getting the shooder behind it!
Thank you for taking the time to comment Jo, and thank you both for the hugs:)
Hugs,Kev.

Thank you Jo once more. I quite like experimenting with shadows. Living in Scotland doesnt always make this possible though. Here's to a fab Summer:)
Big hugs,Kev.

Thanks Malules. I wasnt sure if i should post this as i know the footstep image can be a bit cliched, but i was hoping the shadows added something to it.

Glad it made you smile Parehan. I did kind of cheat to get this pose- the only way i could get him to sit still was hold one of his squeeky toys over my head. Yes, i was squeeking it:) Thank you for commenting Parehan.
Warm regards,Kev.

Thank you for your detailed comments and for being able to see so much in the picture. This is opposite my house, which sits on a hill (thankfully) above the river. Thank you for the tip regarding resizing Srna. Maybe one day i will be able to give you advise - but dont hold your breath:)Have a good weekend my friend.
Warm regards,Kev.

Such a playful and sincere pose - it seems to say so much about you, which is something you always seem to capture in your portraits. You have such an incredible talent Srna.
Makes me smile just looking at it.:)

You have captured the moment beautifully Srna. Her head slightly bowed in prayer or possibly in sadness? The dark tones of your friend are overshadowed by the light softly touching her hair which i think signifies hope. An incredible composition with gentle tones Srna.
Best wishes, kev.

I welcome all suggestions Srna. Ive learned so much from people like yourself on this site and hopefully one day my photographs will reflect that. Im not sure if you meant the "default image size",but ive set it to "large". If you mean something else, like resizing etc, please let me know and i'll see what i can do. Thank you also for your kind comments once more.
Warm regards,Kev.

Such a heart breakingly beautiful photograph Srna. The title suggests warmth and nice thoughts, but the eyes convey something else. For me, you have captured a deep hidden sadness that is locked within the person. Though it is a relaxed pose, the closed lips maybe contradict this. I know the model is supposed to be looking away, but my first thought was that by looking directly at the camera she would have to confront herself - something she wasnt ready for,but the warm soft colours give hope and of better days ahead. I know my interpretation may be different to what you have captured, but i think it is such a beautifully touching and open portrait. Already saved as one of my favourites:)
Warm regards,Kev.

Thanks Srna, i can relate to what you say. When i recently started taking photographs i thought i would enjoy it,but i never realised just how much!
Its a wonderful way to just lose yourself in everything that is around you,and it gives you a wonderful appreciation of just how beautiful the world can be. Plus all that exercise and fresh air:)
Warm hugs,Kev.

Thank you Srna. Your perspective is always insightful and very much appreciated. Im still not satified with the technical aspects of most of my pictures - i think its time to do some reading on how to improve them, but your words,as always, give me encouragement and confidence.
Warmest regards,Kev.

Yes, i knew you meant that Srna, I just like the speed of life going on all around and trying to capture it in one brief, single moment. I think its the equivalent of drinking 4 doubles espressos!

You are very welcome. I like how a number of people can look at the same photograph and each can take something from it that only they can see. I think thats one of the reason photography now fascinates me, and the comments on your portfolio illustrates that beautifully.
Warmest wishes, Kev.

Thank you Ania for your comments. I dont have a filter for my camera yet, so have to wait for the sun to slip behind the clouds before i can take a picture! Think sunglasses over the lense would help?:)

Hello Srna, i hope you are well. Thank you once more for your insight and perspective, im glad you liked it. These were taken last weekend in Edinburgh and was my first attempt at street life. I normally take my time and take pictures from every angle that i think might work, but i realise street life captures are basically about almost seeing the moment before it happens and pointing and shooting. Was totally different to what im used to and was all the more exhilerating for it.
Warmest regards,Kev.
