Really great black and white work you have here. I like the great textures and how the shadowed walker is framed within the highlights and shadows. This also has great story telling abilities. Very good visual impact. A wonderful artistic style!
Congrats on a fine work and your well deserved award!

A nervous eye on their neighbours and and their own aspirations for the sun. Such is my opinion today, but that is saying too much. This comment has not been added to the image.

good composition, the decision to convert to b/w is also good butit is too soft to my taste,it might be from over pp,i had the 717 and as far as i remember the zeiss lens is a very sharp one.

Magnificent... this reminds me of the paintings of Sidney Long, a great Australian artist. I love the atmosphere in this photograph, ethereal and mystical... (http://www.recorderhomepage.net/inline/pan.jpg)

Like a scene from an enchanting and whimsical storybook yet totally real filters in these photos... great effects! And then again the tension between those dogs quite funny in this whimsical setting.

It is fascinating. Good piece of making something cryptic. Over all form wise I wonder if a little bit more of the foreground left might have balanced it (unless that would reveal too much). Dunno. I enjoy all the elements found here.... and I don't really have much of a sense of compositon myself so can't really advise exccept to say something about the whole of it doesn't hang together. Still it's a cool achievement. Quite arresting to me personally.
