Hello Markus!

Great news from this side : Genevieve and her boyfriend have just had their first child : a boy whose name is Lucas. He was born on June the 28th. The nights are still very short, but otherwise, all is fine. We are here with them, at their home, most of the time, to help them around.
If you would like to see some photos taken during the first week, you can go to (copy the link w/o any linebreak)

It would be great to hear from you and your family too. You can write me at my usual adress, ch07bar at videotron dot ca.

Hope you'll catch this message.

Nice work in combining the two in this theme - efficient mood evocation.
Glad to see you posting again, mon ami.

My wife and I were in Chicago - first time - this last Easter. We were both impressed - and we had a very nice moment there.

I love how in this the bold contrast between the dark rock and the lumijous water is tampered down by the silky stream. Really well thought of.

Abssolutely marvelous. The gracous lines are well drawn by the light and the yellow bud is a nice center of interest. A well deserved BIP. Congratulations.

Very evocative and dreamy. I like the various planes : bloom, woman, cat, bird. But also the allusion to the realms of the vegetal, the human and the animal.

Superb composition Don, in particular I notice and enjoy the winding line starting from the center and leading us on the right up to the horseman. I read about how this guy makes a living from this. Boy, the whole world is going Hollywood.

You have treated this in a perfect way, accentuating the contrast of the green vine against the mineral massive dark. I am too often fascinated by such minute scenes during my hikings and your work is a source of inspiration.

Superb creative work. The idea of having the model's hand receiving the cameo is a plus.

To the graphical power of symmetry you've added the perceptual pleasure of silkiness. Very evocative.

Nice cascading composition with a superb DOF. It's unusual to treat a floral in B&W, but here this approach emphasizes the graphical lines. Very lovely.

Something nostalgic lingers in the air, in the low winter sun light. Poeple walking up the slope of time. What lies behind your words Markus ?

Thank you my friends. I do like the silky movement of the snow in the background. For all its simplicity, you should see the PS curve that lies behind to enhance these faint patterns.

Interesting post-treatment. Just wonder why in B&W, wouldn't the colours add something ?

What a nice landscape Don. It is a good break for me... I'm onboard a train, from Quebec City to Montreal. After a very, very warm fall, we are now with severe colds - though not much snow. Thanks for sharing a part of this beautiful domain of yours.

Geez...With the open space right in the centre, the attraction effect is evident. And the golden light atop the distant trees is operating its magic.
