I like this - it has alot of texture - very interesting. The little silhouette really helps us see how grand the waves are.

A creative idea, huge grain in a detailed landscape. Very memorable.

Very simple and clear. The black line at the horizon which separates the sky from the sea introduces a two-dimensional effect since it contains the highest contrast. It makes it look more like some abstract photograph. Lowering the contrast at the horizon will increase the apparent depth. Any opinions on this ?

ok... so now you have a new fan (me)!!!
One question though... the vignating around the corners... Were they intentional? I took a shot with my Canon 28-135 IS USM lens once, and I had stacked on a screw on UV Filter, and then a polariser on the cokin mount... Unfortunately I got vignating on the corners of the photos that look like the ones you got... I found that by removing the UV filter the problem was solved (this occured only when I was at the 28mm end...). I'm just curious to see if that's what happened with you too...

Suzana, Nice shot here... I like the mystery of it and the depth created by the lines as well as the fading light. Well done. Sam

Suzana, this is a very successful picture -- the contrast of the gates pattern in with the colour of the hand creates a great tension. Terrific.

Nice idea, Suzana. The long lens is a perfect choice. When I looked at the thumbnail image, I thought this would add editorial comment on our justice system. However on full screen the hand comes from the same side as the camera, and the clean nails and sweater resist stereotyping.
